Alix Wilson, DVM, has been working at the Center for 14 years caring for the medical and surgical needs of birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and small mammals. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Oberlin College in 1998 and her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
After graduation, Alix began her career working with a variety of different animals, including cats, dogs, and exotic animals. However, it was her love for cats and pet that led her to specialize in avian and exotic medicine.
Dr. Wilson is well known for her ability to connect with her feline patients and for her dedication to their well-being. She is always willing to go the extra mile to make sure her patients are comfortable and receive the best possible care.
In her role as a veterinarian at the Center for Avian & Exotic Medicine, Dr. Wilson has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of animals, including birds, reptiles, and small mammals. She takes great pride in her work and is always looking for ways to improve her skills and knowledge in order to provide the best care possible to her patients.
Dr. Wilson’s passion for cats and pets is not just limited to her professional life. She also volunteers her time at local animal shelters and rescue organizations, where she helps to care for cats and other animals in need.
